Asus introduced its new portable gaming console ROG Ally, which should compete with the popular Steam Deck. The announcement took place on the first of April, but the device does not look like a joke, at least according to The Verge.
ROG Ally, judging by the trailer, features a Windows 11 operating system, an AMP Ryzen APU and a dual-fan design. The screen provides full HD gameplay, and there are two analog sticks, a D-pad located on the left side, and four main control buttons, plus additional smaller buttons for menus and settings. It’s also compatible with the ROG XG Mobile eGPU, which allows users to stream games to the TV.
Interestingly, the device’s announcement shows actual games including High On Life, Moving Out and WRC Generations, which doesn’t usually happen for April Fool’s jokes. Gamers can sign up to get pre-order information on Best Buy’s website, The Verge writes.
True, we weren’t able to access this page, so even if the console does see the light of day, it’s best to wait for the official news.
